Tiveria Green Game Awards

Play Hard – Eli Eizenstat – For the first three weeks of this season, Naftali Lipman has won this award. In Week Four, Naftali was his usual indefatigable self. None the less, the award is going to Eli this week. Eli showed great hustle and dominated the 50-50 balls in the second half. A superb effort.

Play Smart – Benny Klein - Superb on the field. Superb in goal. Just a great day from this young man.

Mensch Award – Ezra Dayanim - He played every position on the field (minus goalie) and demonstrated a higher level of effort than I’d seen all season.

Purple

Play Hard - Elie Lowenstein. Elie was all over the field and really shined in this game with his dribbling and shooting. Nice goals Elie!

Play Smart - Max Kronisch. Given that Max's team was in the lead, he took the initiative to play a new position and hone his skills on offense and really shined with some great attacking. Way to go!

Mensch Award - Samuel Kushnir. Samuel volunteered to play goalie to allow other kids a chance to play offense and score goals. Super Mensch!

Justin Galitzer gets the Hard work award for the week he had 3 goals for the game but also made some very key defensive plays toward the end of the game.

Noam Roth gets the play smart award for go after the ball and not stopping.

The mensch award goes to Noam Straus. He got sick during the game but stayed to the end to cheer his team on.

Purple 23

Play hard - Eidan Horn. Eidan was really giving it his all during the game and scored the winning goal for his team.

Play smart - Zachary Salamon. Zach was consistently playing in just the right place and was instrumental in keeping purple in attack mode rather than defense mode.

Mensch: Max Kronisch. Although Max wanted to get some more time on offense he was willing to stay in as goalkeeper for the sake of his team. His willingness to put his team's interests above his (as well as his multiple game saving blocks) were really appreciated by his team.

Green Game Awards

a. Play Hard – Eli Eizenstat and Naftali Lipman– Hustled and won lots of 50-50 balls. It’s critical to have players like Eli and Naftali on a muddy day.

b. Play Smart – Shlomo Starkman – Played primarily defensively and had numerous forays into the offensive end. Great job, Shlomo.

c. Mensch Award – Eli Soumekhian - Another great day for Eli. What a pleasure as a coach to have a player that can play goalie, defense, midfield and forward.

Our play hard player of the week is Noam Roth who had an assist with Justin Galitzer who scored the goal.

Our play smart award goes to Yosef Broder for his heads up play in keeping the ball down at the other end of the field.

Our mensch of the week is Ilan Cohen. He always has the best attitude about playing the game.

B23 Purple

Play Hard: Rami Sloan. Rami was really moving all over the field and even nearly scored a goal.

Play Smart: Ezra Troy. Ezra executed brilliantly on the throw-ins which really made a big difference in our field position.

Mensch: The entire purple team. Everyone on the purple team played with such heart this week and they didn't let the outcome of the game dim their enthusiasm for next week.
