Hapoel Soccer will start its preseason action this weekend with regular-season play set to go the following Sunday.

League officials said this week that Hapoel Soccer already has about 400 children signed up to play with more expected to join up. Matt Bernstein, who runs the program, is proud of the fact that it's "an extremely diverse spectrum of Jews."

The league's games are going to be played each Sunday throughout the fall. After the Sept. 30 start, competition runs through Nov. 18. They then have their "All-Mensch Game" set for Nov. 25 with a season-ending banquet and awards ceremony Dec. 2.
