Hapoel Soccer recently held its end-of-season banquet, giving the Samuel Singer Hasmada award to the B3 Travel team. The honor goes to the player or players who have demonstrated the greatest amount of diligence, persistence and determination.

Danny Zweben, Coach Zweben, Akiva Glashofer, Jonah Riffkin, Aaron Weiss, Avi Cohen, Josh Straus, Jacob Glassman, Coach Paul Glashofer, Cameron Harris-Gallahue, Coby Melkin, Eli Shemtov, Mory Gould, Daryl Nadler, Elijah Zack, Noah Green, Perry Ross, Mikhael Hammer-Bleich and Ari Sporkin were those who earned the honor for their team efforts this season.

Rayna Armon captured the Teshuva award, one that goes to the player who's improved the most since last season or throughout the course of this one.

There was a second Teshuva award (given for similar reasons) given for the girls sixth-through-eighth-grade leagues. Estee Rebibo got that honor.

Danny Weiss won the Richard H. Stewart, Jr. Kavod Leadership award. That honor is given to the player who's demonstrated the best leadership skills and honor and respect to those around him (like officials, coaches and fans).

In the coaching field, Paul Glashofer captured the Yarden Frankl Coach award. That is for the coach who has best exemplified the philosophy of the league.

Hapoel has soccer programs for boys and girls from kindergarten through the eighth grade and plays on Sundays throughout the fall.
