Hapoel Soccer teams still scoring big

There were plenty of goals scored in the Hapoel Soccer's Silver Spring sixth-ninth-grade division. Navy routed Aqua, 6-1, thanks to Binyamin Edelstein (three goals, one assist), Yaakov Fink (two goals, one assist) and Benjamin Kronisch (one goal).

Chaim Shlomo Komarow got the Aqua goal.

Maroon overwhelmed Gold, 13-3, as Saadia Tuchman led the way with five goals and three assists. Jason Kardon added a hat trick with three goals and one assist; Eli Bookstaber had two goals and two assists while Craig Wasserman (two goals) and Jeremy Kardon (one goal) also pitched in.

Dovid Feldman scored all three Gold goals.

Jeffrey Becker got the game-winning goal to give Teal a 1-0 victory over Orange. Yonaton Abrams added an assist.

In the third-fifth-grade division, Orange and Teal played to a 2-2 tie. Yehuda Edelstein scored both Teal goals while Aaron Weiss and Daniel Zweben scored for Orange.

Tani Makovsky's goal gave Navy a 1-0 victory over Aqua.

Jacob Myers got five goals and an assist to help Maroon to a 6-1 victory over Gold. Eli Horn also scored in the win.

Daniel Schopf gave Gold its only goal.

The second-third-grade division saw Teal and Navy both get 2-0 victories. Teal beat Orange, thanks to goals from Ethan Jach and Benji Riffkin plus assists from Coby Melkin and Jake Ely.

Elior Waskow (goal and assist) and Elijah Zack (goal) led Navy to its shutout of Aqua.

Ron Heifetz's four-goal performance helped Maroon to a 5-2 victory over Gold. Samuel Kushnir added a goal and an assist. Yoni Snow had an assist.

Justin Galitzer led Gold with a goal and an assist. Sam Glick had a goal.

The goals came in bunches in the kindergarten-first-grade division. Reuben Mellman led Navy by scoring eight goals in an 11-1 rout of Aqua. Elie Lowenstein (two goals, one assist) and Rafi Mendelsohn (one goal, one assist) both helped.

Gold got a little help from a lot of places in a 8-0 shutout of Maroon. Noam Roth and Yoni Eisen both had two goals and an assist while Zachary Winters and Ezra Diament each scored twice.

Benjamin Zatman also added two assists.

Saadya Levitt, Naftali Lipman and Gavriel Yaakov Bernstein each scored once in Teal's 3-0 shutout of Orange.

On the girls' side, the sixth-eighth-grade division was quiet. Gold and Navy played to a scoreless tie, and Orange scored a 1-0 forfeit victory over Aqua.

Chana Brocha Reingold's goal gave Aqua a 1-0 shutout of Orange in third-fifth-grade action.

Gold blanked Navy, 3-0, in the division's other game. Nesiah Ely scored twice, and Abigail Salamon added one more.

Navy and Gold won in the third-fifth-grade action. Ella Gantman scored four goals to give Navy a 4-2 decision over Gold. Adele Tuchman and Rayna Armon both scored once in the loss.

Rachel Levine's two goals helped Aqua to a 3-1 win over Orange. Danielle Dekelbaum got the other goal. Aliza Goldschlag scored the Orange goal.

Over in the Rockville games, the third-fifth-grade division saw the Orange/Aqua team pull out a 4-1 victory over Gold/Navy. Eli Winkler led the way with two goals. Milo Satinsky and Aron Kreiser both scored once. Eric Shalooway scored the Gold/Navy goal.

Six was the magic number in the kindergarten-second-grade division. Aqua scored a 6-1 decision over Orange. Gold rolled to a 6-2 victory over Navy.

Ari Schlactus led Aqua with a hat trick. Andrew Stein scored twice, and Golan Khen added one more. Boaz Schwartz got the Orange goal.

Gold's Joshua Shames scored twice while Eli Soumekhian, Eli Winston, Avi Skolnick and Joseph Katz each got one goal.

Jacob Udler and Noah Richman each scored once for Navy in the defeat.

On the girls' side, Orange/Aqua had no trouble in posting a 9-0 shutout against Gold/Navy.

Sara Byer led the way with a hat trick. Dahlia Lehman scored two goals while Hannah Ashe and Ashira Rosen each had a goal and an assist. Rebekah Sklute and Maxie Weiner both scored once. Jordana Gruber added two assists.

Shlomit Bernstein's hat trick led Gold/Navy to a 6-0 shutout of Orange/Aqua in the kindergarten-second grade-division. Leah Winkler scored twice and Maayan Naveh once.
