Several local athletes found success in a local Junior Olympics qualifying event that Hapoel Soccer hosted last weekend.

In soccer, Jake Ely (8-9 boys), Yehuda Edelstein (10-11 boys) and Yonaton Abrams (12-13 boys), were winners in their respective divisions.

On the girls' side, Nesia Ely and Maayan Schoen took first and second, respectively, in the 8-9 division. Eleana Weissman won the 10-11 girls

Ely won the 8-9 boys in track and field. Edelstein and Yaakov Levine took first and second in the 10-11 broad jump. Abrams and Binyamin Edelstein were first and second in the 12-13 division.

For the girls, Ely, Schoen and Miriam Edelstein went 1-2-3 in the 8-9 track and field division. Weissman won the 10-11 group.

Tennis saw Jake Ely take the 8-9 boys title. Simon Schoen won the 10-11 championship while Abrams grabbed first in the 12-13.

Maayan Schoen won the 8-9 girls and Weissman took the 10-11 title.
