Hapoel athletes star on offense

Goals were being scored everywhere in Hapoel Soccer last weekend, starting with the sixth-grade and older division.

Jason Kardon, Yonatan Abrams and Evan Goldman led the way as the Green team rolled to a 9-1 victory over Purple. Kardon (four goals, one assist), Goldman (two goals, two assists) and Abrams (two goals) sparked the Green offense.

Aryeh Broth scored the other Green goal. Jacob Black got the Purple goal.

Nadiv Panitch's hat trick gave Red a 3-0 victory over Yellow. Noah Horn and Jonathan Galitzer each added one assist.

In the fourth-fifth-grade division, Elazar Khaldar and Shimon Idstein both scored once to give Green a 2-1 victory over Yellow. Ari Sporkin got the Yellow goal while Ron Heifetz added an assist.

Eli Shemtov scored all of the goals in Red's 3-2 victory over Silver. Aaron Weiss and Daniel Zweben each got a goal for Silver in the loss.

Purple cruised to a 5-1 victory over Blue. Elijah Zack led the way with two goals and an assist. Reuben Winston scored two goals, and Ezra Osofsky added one more.

Coby Melkin got the Blue goal, and Joshua Myers notched an assist.

The second-third-grade division saw Purple rout Blue, 7-2. Samuel Kushnir led the winners with four goals and an assist. Elie Lowenstein added two goals, and Eidan Horn got one more.

Boaz Schwartz and Ari Schlactus each scored a goal for Blue. Isaac Nadaner had an assist.

Justin Galitzer's hat trick helped Yellow to a 3-2 victory over Green. Gavriel Yaakov Bernstein scored the Green goals. Sammy Levitt added two assists.

Red and Silver played to a 1-1 tie. Yoni Eisen (Red) and Jacob Stern (Silver) scored the goals.

The kindergarten-first-grade division saw Silver, Green and Blue each post shutouts. Silver used two-goal performances from Saadya Levitt and Ari Siegel en route to a 5-0 victory over Red.

Jeremy Ullman got the game-winning goal in Green's 1-0 shutout of Yellow. Benjamin Coplin added an assist.

Blue had an easier time in its 7-0 rout of Purple. Michael Minsk and Benjamin Zatman both had two goals and an assist. Natan Winter added a goal and an assist. Benjamin Winters and Pinchos Yosef Savir each scored once.

Over on the girls' side, the sixth-grade-plus division saw more defense. The Red and Yellow teams dueled to a 1-1 tie. Anna Rose Osofsky got the Red goal with Eliana Tuchman adding an assist. Aviva Lombardo scored for the Yellow team.

Emma Hofman took care of the offense in Green's 2-0 victory over Purple.

The third-fifth-grade division also had some good defense as Purple and Yellow each registered shutouts. Shana Lowentstein and Rebecca Levin each scored once to give Purple a 2-0 victory over Green.

Bracha Eizenstat's two goals helped Yellow to a 3-0 victory over Red. Hannah Ashe scored the other goal.

But the goals were everywhere in the only kindergarten-second-grade league game as Red/Yellow crushed Purple/Green, 15-5.

Shifra Waskow led the winners with six goals. Naomi Rosenbaum added five while Elliana Makovsky pitched in with four more. Michal Eizenstat helped Purple/Green with two goals in the loss.
