The Hapoel basketball continued its strong season in the Montgomery Recreation League, splitting two late-season games in recent weeks.

Hapoel first suffered a 35-26 loss to the Dragons earlier this month. The Dragons needed to rally in the final two periods as Hapoel held a five-point lead midway through the third quarter before falling apart.

Mory Gould led the Seahawks with 13 points in a losing effort. Daniel Zweben added nine points, but Hapoel had lots of trouble rebounding against the Dragons.

The Seahawks did much better in their next game, a 37-31 victory over the Terps (from Bethesda).

Zweben came back to tie his season high with 19 points. Noah Green added eight points, and Gould scored six.

Akiva Glashofer came up big in the second half, getting several crucial offensive rebounds. Green's three baskets were big ones, and Jacob Glassman made some good plays on defense, including a steal that took the air out of a Terps' comeback.
