Once again, goals were hard to come by in the third week of Hapoel soccer play, as there were a number of low-scoring shutouts and ties in boys and girls games.

For the boys, in the sixth-grade division, the Green and Maroon teams both came away with victories.

Reuben Winston's goal gave the Green team a 1-0 decision over Blue. Eli Feldman got the only assist.

Maroon used Mory Gould's goal to pull out a 1-0 victory over Gold. Akiva Glashofer added an assist.

The fourth-fifth-grade division also saw some tight games. The Blue and Black teams battled to a scoreless draw in their contest.

Samuel Kushnir scored to give Orange a 1-0 victory over Green.

Elijah Zack's goal helped Maroon to a 1-0 shutout of the Maroon team. Jonathan Berkowitz assisted on the game-winning score.

The Orange and Black teams won in the second-third-grade division. Benjamin Zatman scored twice to give Orange a 2-0 victory over Green.

Yoni Eisen and Michael Minsk both posted assists.

Elie Lowenstein and Eidan Horn each scored a goal as the Black team topped Blue, 2-0.

The Gold and Maroon teams played to a 1-1 draw. Gavriel Bernstein scored for the Gold team, and Meir Schwartz got the Maroon goal.

Jayden Matusow (Gold) and Shmuel Yosef Hadar (Maroon) both got assists in the deadlock.

In the first-second-grade division, the Gold team edged Maroon, 2-1.

Benjamin Winters and Erez Epstein scored the Gold goals. Yaakov Baars got Maroon's tally.

The assists came from Yoni Liebstein and Eitan Starr for Gold. Isaac Kushnir got the only Maroon assist.

The Blue and Green teams played to a 1-1 tie. Yonaton Rutstein scored the only Blue goal. Simon Goldberg got the lone Green score.

Moty Gershone had a Green assists while Tobias Fuller did the same for the Blue team.

Over on the girls' side, there were also a number of close games.

In the sixth-grade division, no goals were scored. That's because the Green and Blue teams played a scoreless tie, and the Gold and Maroon teams did the same thing.

The third-fifth-grade group saw some offense as the Gold and Maroon tied, 1-1. In the other game, the Green team topped Blue, 1-0.

For Gold, Nesiah Ely got the only goal. Rebecca Babitz scored the Maroon goal. Rachel Levine posted a Gold assist while Yacova Mayberg did the same for Maroon.

Shana Lowenstein scored Green's game-winning goal with an assist from Batsheva Rabinowitz.

There was just one game in the kindergarten-second-grade division, and that was another tie -- Gold/Maroon and Blue/Green deadlocked at one.

Gabriella Riffkin scored the Gold/Maroon goal. Tzophia Leibtage got the Blue/Green tally.
